St. Colette Prayer Groups

At St. Colette, we have a variety of ways for parishioners to get involved in the parish including ways to deepen their faith through prayer and group discussions. All parishioners are encouraged to take their faith further than their usual Sunday mass.

Below you will find a list of our prayer groups. Find your place within our parish family.

Brothers in Faith

Brothers in Faith, a men’s prayer group, meets Saturday mornings at 8am for a little R & R (Rosary and Readings).  The Brothers came together in the Fall of 2014 to create a place where men could gather and strengthen one another through readings, scripture and prayer. As written in Proverbs 27 verse 17 "...as iron sharpens ironso one man sharpens another."

For more information on the prayer group please contact Fred Krizman at 440.268.0331 or Mark Henderson at 630.886.1890

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Prayer Ministry

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a prayer group of parishioners that come together to pray for family members, loved ones and community members who are ill.  Many of their gatherings are done in the presence of the Holy Sacrament.

This prayer group meets on Thursday evenings by the Tabernacle. Click here to see our upcoming meetings.

All parishioners are welcome to join! No dedicated time is required as you can come and go as you feel necessary.

Colette’s Kids

A prayer ministry of moms for expectant moms and families seeing to conceive.

Started by the Daughters of St. Colette and continued by the moms of the parish, this ministry prays especially for expectant mothers and families praying for a child. There are three prayer services held throughout the year around feast days of patron saints for such intentions:

  • February 7th— St. Colette— patroness of women seeking to conceive, expectant mothers, and sick children

  • July 26th— Sts. Anne and Joachim (grandparents of Jesus)— patron saints of grandparents and women in labor (St. Anne).

  • October 16th— St. Gerard— patron of children (especially the unborn), mothers (especially expectant mothers), and motherhood.

Our schedule is as follows:

  • Look for a Sunday February after 11:45 Mass (in honor of St. Colette’s Feast day

  • Look for a Sunday in July after 11:45 Mass (in honor of Sts. Ann and Joachim, grandparents of Jesus)

  • Look for a Sunday in October after 11:45 Mass (in honor of St. Gerard)

  • Click here for all upcoming prayer services.

All expectant parents and anyone praying to conceive are welcome to attend any and all of these short, informal services. Our desire is that you know the prayerful support of your parish family before and throughout your journey of family life. Children are a gift from God and a gift to our parish. Likewise, all moms of the parish are invited to attend in prayerful support.
