Amazing American Penny Carnival brings good old fashioned "fun" to our parish hall!

Last Friday and Saturday the sights and sounds of Euclid Beach Park, complete with the “arches” adorned the parish hall of our humble church. A long standing tradition of our parish, and an original idea of Fr. Krizner, the PC is loved by both the young and old. Friday night was for the adults. There were games, music, Dusty’s famous pulled pork parfaits and live entertainment from Music Ministry. We welcomed about 100 guests to our carnival complete with a “This Land is Your Land” rendition at the end of the night.

Saturday was for the “little kids” of the parish, geared toward ages 2nd grade and younger. They enjoyed playing carnival games and winning some great prizes. The mac and cheese bites, French fries, and homemade elephant ears were all a hit as well. All in the spirit of Euclid Beach Park, “Nothing to depress or demoralize.,” just good fun, all honoring our flag and celebrating our freedom to celebrate! The weekend was brought together by Jo Ann Papa and the teens of celebration— all under the guidance of Fr. Krizner. We thank them and all of the volunteers who worked so hard to make it a success and to make it fun. Until our next event, remember that at St. Colette, “We provide the atmosphere, you make the memories!”

Closed for the season.
